Setup and Calibration Guide

Setup and calibration guide

Correct setup is essential for reliable readings. Follow these steps before relying on long-term trend data from your Rovynel monitor.

Before first use

  • Inspect the sensor probe and cable for shipping damage.
  • Confirm the probe is suitable for the water type you plan to monitor.
  • Keep the probe clean and avoid touching sensitive sensor surfaces directly.
  • Place the probe where water flow is stable and representative of the full system.

Calibration basics

Use fresh calibration solutions and follow the instructions provided with your product package. Calibrate pH and other supported parameters on a regular schedule based on usage intensity, water chemistry and required accuracy.

App connection

  • Keep your phone near the device during first pairing.
  • Use a stable 2.4 GHz WiFi network when pairing WiFi models.
  • For LoRa models, place the receiver where the signal is not blocked by thick walls or large metal objects.

Care tips

  • Do not allow the probe to dry out for long periods.
  • Clean the probe gently after exposure to algae, scale or debris.
  • Recalibrate after cleaning, long storage or abnormal readings.
