What affects sensor readings?

How to improve reading confidence
- Install the probe in a stable, representative water area.
- Let readings stabilize before making decisions.
- Run periodic reference tests with a trusted test method.

- Recalibrate after cleaning, storage or unusual readings.
- Track trends instead of reacting to a single isolated number.
Probe maintenance checklist
- Inspect the probe weekly in high-use or high-growth environments.
- Keep the sensing area submerged as required by the product instructions.
- Avoid direct exposure to concentrated chemicals during dosing.
- Do not scrape sensitive sensor surfaces with hard tools.
- Use fresh calibration solution when calibrating.
- Store probes according to the included instructions when the monitor is not in use.
When readings look wrong
If a reading suddenly changes, do not assume the device failed immediately. Check recent maintenance, dosing, water changes, temperature shifts, probe placement, bubbles, debris and calibration history. Then compare with a reference test and contact support if the issue continues.
