FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Which Rovynel monitor should I choose?
Choose the 8-in-1 LoRa Smart Pool Water Monitor for pools, spas and hot tubs. Choose a 7-in-1 model for aquariums, reefs, koi ponds and hydroponic reservoirs. The RS485 model is best for more fixed installations where stable wired sensor communication matters.
Do Rovynel monitors replace all manual testing?
They reduce the need for repeated manual checks and help you notice changes sooner. For best accuracy, occasional reference testing, calibration and proper probe maintenance are still recommended.
Can I receive app alerts?
Supported WiFi models connect to the Tuya Smart App so you can view readings, historical trends and out-of-range notifications.
What parameters can I monitor?
Depending on the model, Rovynel products can monitor pH, ORP, TDS, EC, salinity, specific gravity, temperature and free chlorine.
What is ORP?
ORP stands for oxidation-reduction potential. It helps indicate the water's oxidizing or reducing condition and is commonly used as a reference in pools, aquariums and water treatment contexts.
What is the difference between TDS and EC?
EC measures electrical conductivity, while TDS estimates dissolved solids based on conductivity. Both are useful for understanding dissolved mineral or nutrient levels.
Is calibration required?
Many Rovynel products are factory-calibrated, but periodic calibration is recommended for long-term accuracy, especially for pH and EC readings.
Can I use Rovynel in saltwater?
Yes, compatible models are designed for freshwater and saltwater applications. Follow the product instructions for probe care and cleaning.
