Replaceable vs. Non-Replaceable Probe Guide

This page explains how to decide whether a probe or sensor can be replaced. It does not claim that a sensor is user-replaceable unless the exact product document or Rovynel Support confirms it.

Current verified status

The current public listings identify complete products and measurement channels, but they do not provide confirmed user-replaceable element part numbers or cross-model probe interchangeability. Treat replacement status as model- and hardware-revision-specific.

Decision checklist

  1. Identify whether you own a complete monitor, a standalone RS485 probe, or an environmental air monitor.
  2. Record the product title, SKU, hardware revision, connector, cable length and labels.
  3. Confirm whether the service part is a complete probe assembly, an individual sensing element, a cable, or the display.
  4. Confirm power, polarity, connector pinout, communication protocol, address, register map and scaling where applicable.
  5. Confirm calibration or verification requirements after replacement.
  6. Do not energize or immerse a proposed replacement until compatibility is confirmed in writing.

After replacement

  • Inspect installation and leak or moisture exposure.

  • Record the service date, part identity and baseline readings.
  • Keep manual backup testing until performance is stable.
