Set Tuya App Alerts for Your Rovynel Pool Monitor

Use this guide to create app alerts in the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app, so your pool monitor can notify you when a selected water reading changes or moves outside your preferred range.

The screenshots below show the main places to tap. App screens and available automation triggers may vary by app version, phone system, device model, and region.

1. Pair the device

  • Connect your Rovynel pool monitor to the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app.
  • Confirm the device is online before creating an automation.

2. Check readings

  • Open the device screen and confirm current readings are visible.
  • Wait for readings to stabilize before setting alert limits.

3. Enable notifications

  • Allow notifications for the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app on your phone.
  • Keep the app and device firmware updated.

Create an automation alert

Open the Automation page

  1. Open the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app.
  2. Tap Smart in the bottom navigation.
  3. Tap Automation at the top.
  4. Tap Create.

Go to Smart, choose Automation, then tap Create.

Choose the trigger

  1. On the Create Scene screen, tap When device status changes.
  2. Select your Rovynel pool monitor from the device list.
  3. Choose the water parameter you want to monitor, such as pH, chlorine, ORP, salinity, TDS, EC, SG, or temperature.
  4. Set the condition and value for your alert.
  5. Add an action such as an app notification or push notification.
  6. Save the automation and test it after the next reading update.

Useful alert ideas

pH alert

Create an alert when pH is higher or lower than your preferred pool range.

Chlorine alert

Create an alert when the chlorine reading drops below your target level.

ORP or conductivity alert

Watch for unusual ORP, salinity, TDS, EC, or SG changes that may need attention.

Temperature alert

Receive a notification when water temperature moves outside your preferred range.

Troubleshooting

  • If your device does not appear, confirm it is paired, online, and assigned to the same home in the app.
  • If automation is unavailable, tap the warning message in the app and check whether your app version, region, or device firmware supports the trigger.
  • If notifications do not arrive, enable app notifications in your phone settings and make sure Do Not Disturb mode is off.
  • If readings look unusual, clean and calibrate the probe before changing alert limits.
