M485 Setup & Calibration
Applies to the Rovynel M485, sold as the 7-in-1 WiFi RS485 Aquarium Water Monitor.
Watch the three videos in order: prepare the pH buffer solutions, complete the three-point pH calibration, then adjust salinity and specific gravity readings.
Before you start
- Confirm that the device label and display match the M485 model.
- Prepare fresh calibration solutions specified by the product instructions and videos.
- Use separate clean containers, distilled or deionized water, and a soft lint-free tissue.
- Rinse the probe between solutions and never pour used solution back into its original bottle.
- If your display, buttons or supplied instructions differ from the videos, stop and contact support before changing calibration values.
Step 01
Prepare the pH buffer solutions
Start here. Prepare the buffer solutions exactly as shown before entering the calibration process.
- Use clean containers for every solution.
- Keep the probe and tools free from cross-contamination.
- Do not begin Step 2 until all required solutions are ready.
Step 02
Complete the three-point pH calibration
Follow the display sequence and complete each calibration point in order. Allow the reading to stabilize before confirming a point.
- Rinse the probe before moving to the next buffer.
- Follow the buffer values and button sequence shown in the video and supplied instructions.
- Confirm that the display returns to normal measurement mode when calibration is complete.
Step 03
Adjust salinity and specific gravity readings
Use the reference solution and adjustment process shown in the video to correct salt and S.G. readings.
- Use the reference solution specified by the video or product instructions.
- Wait for the temperature and reading to stabilize before making an adjustment.
- Verify both salinity and specific gravity after the adjustment is saved.
Final verification checklist
- The pH reading is stable when checked against a known reference.
- Salinity and specific gravity respond normally and remain consistent.
- The probe has been rinsed and returned to a stable-flow location.
- The calibration date has been recorded for future maintenance.
